Brigitta Winkler returns to Colorado in May 2025 for tango workshops and exploration. Enjoy a weekend of Tango May 17 & 18 in Boulder exploring the theme of "Round Trip & Roles in Tango."
Brigitta will also teach in Denver on Tuesday, May 20 at the Denver Turnverein, and Thursday, May 22 workshops at the Colorado Dancesport NORTH. Open Milongas on Saturday & Sunday, May 17 & 18 and Tuesday, May 20, not to mention the glorious Cheesman Outdoor Milonga on Monday, May 26. The Denver Close Encounters is an invitational tango encuentro over May 23 - 25.
Brigitta Winkler has been living, dancing, performing, and teaching tango for over 40 years! She was one of the first Europeans to study Tango in Buenos Aires in the early 1980s and following that, in 1986, she contributed to the Berlin tango scene by opening the first tango studio in the city.
She is also a founding member of Tango Mujer Dance Company, an all-women dance company performed in the US.
Brigitta has extensive training and experience in movement methodologies, notably Body-Mind Centering® and Somatics.
New York City is Brigitta's second home base. Since 1995, she has been busy touring and teaching all over North America & Europe and facilitating retreats in Italy & Mexico.

Brigitta's May 17 & 18 weekend events are at the Boulder Tango Studio Avalon, 6185 Arapahoe Rd, Boulder, CO. The drive to the Avalon is about 30-40 minutes from Denver.
